Students of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics, UNY, namely Miftakhul Hidayah, Bagja Sumantri, and Sri Nuryanto won second place in the "Economic Issues" National Debate competition which was held at Ganesha Education University (UNDIKSHA) Bali on Friday (18/5). Participants in this Debate Competition are students of Economic Education from all universities in Indonesia who formed a forum in the All-Indonesian Economic Education Student Association (IMAPESI).

HMPE FE UNY ECONOMIC STUDY FORUM: BECOME A RICH STUDENT

The Economic Education Student Association (HMPE) of the Faculty of Economics, Yogyakarta State University (FE UNY) on Tuesday (17/4) held an Economic Study Forum (FSE) in the FE Hall UNY. This forum is an ongoing R&D program for HMPE FE UNY. The event received quite a lot of appreciation from students of the economics faculty as evidenced by the large number of participants.

In the framework of the 48th Anniversary of Yogyakarta State University, a National Seminar on People's Economy was held at the Auditorium of FE UNY by presenting Drs. Helmi Yahya, MBA and Prof. Hendrawan Supratikno, Ph. D, as a speaker. Helmi Yahya is known as an entrepreneur and quiz king on many televisions, while Prof. Hendrawan is an academic as well as a Member of Commission VI DPR RI.

LOSINA LECTURER OF FE UNY GETS DOCTORATE DEGREE FROM CURTIN UNIVERSITY AUSTRALIA

Losina Purnastuti, PhD. A lecturer in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics (FE) UNY, has won a Doctorate degree from the School of Economics and Finance, Curtin Business School, Curtin University, Perth – Australia. Her dissertation entitled “Returns to Education and Human Capital Externalities: Empirical Evidence from Indonesia” successfully led Losina to graduate with an A from all examiners.

The Faculty of Economics, Yogyakarta State University (FE UNY) on Wednesday (1/2) held a graduation ceremony for the period of January 31, 2012 at the Auditorium of FE UNY. This year's Judiciary has a unique Grade Point Average (GPA), namely the rank I GPA winner Osa Maya Kurniadani 3.63 ranking II Al Rifai 3.62 and ranking III Nor Aini Fadilla 3.61, all three of which are from the Department of Economic Education.
